WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT? There are literally thousands of cattery websites on the internet and thousands of different breeders to choose from. We know this. We appreciate that you have landed on our page and that you are taking the time to learn more about us - whether we came up in a google search, or were referred by a friend. We work hard to go above and beyond - to demonstrate our love for our cats and our appreciation for our clients. Please have a look through our website and let us know what you think. Is there any information that you have been looking for but can't find here? Anything we discuss that you hadn't thought of in your search for a bengal? Let us know - your feedback is important to us.
We are doing what we love - each and every kitten that leaves our cattery has spent the first 14 weeks of its life as our own pet and valued companion. Kittens are not a commodity to us in any way. Speak to anyone who has adopted from us and they will tell you how much we care and that we will literally go to the ends of the earth for one of our kittens. Our kitten clients become like family to us throughout the adoption process. And this carries far past the 12 weeks that your kitten resides with us before going home with you - we give lifetime support for each and every kitten client, no matter what the issue, or how old the cat is. We love receiving feedback, photos, emails, etc about how your kitten is doing and your adventures with your furry family member.

It was love at first sight with this girl...
Our bengal program developed from a basic love of all animals. Carmen grew up on the beautiful 5 acre hobby farm where Jewelspride Bengals calls home, situated in south Langley, British Columbia, and surrounded by open fields and farmland, with views of mountains surrounding us. The farm had its start in the early 1970s with cattle, and then moved into an assortment of rabbits, ducks, chickens, peacocks and organic blueberries. In 1989 after being away for a time at university, Carmen and Sam were married and decided to leave their brief stint with city life behind them for good to return to the farm and make it their permanent family home. We have since raised our twins, Joshua and Matelita, in these beautiful surroundings that we are so proud to call "home".
Our Story...
The entire family has a love of nature and animals and the bengals came easily into that fold back in 2010 when we adopted a rescue cat that we believed at the time to be part bengal. Our interest in the breed grew, and we found ourselves attending cat shows as a family, visiting breeders, and endlessly searching the internet for as much information as we could find. Since that time, we have made some lifelong friends in the bengal breeding world, and have met many wonderful kitten clients along the way that we have developed lifelong friendships with. Most of all, we enjoy being surrounded by these beautiful, vibrant animals - they bring so much joy into our lives and we love to share that with everyone we meet. We love our little piece of heaven here in Langley, BC and love having kitten clients out to visit. Many who have visited will report receiving a fully guided tour around the property by Sam. He is very proud of his landscaped nooks and crannies, scattered all about the property, and his collection of animals - feathered and furry alike. He is Carmen's right hand when it comes to providing for the cats, showing the cats, building the enclosures they require for stimulating exploration and entertainment, and an immeasurable host of other ongoing tasks around the property.
Meet our family... Sam, Carmen, our daughter Matelita, our son Joshua, Carmen's mother Lucy... and we can't forget our two shih tzus who also help so much with the kitten socialization - Chloe and Teddy!
Joshua and Grandma Lucy
There are three generations of animal lovers on our farm... Carmen's mother, Lucy, works right alongside Carmen and Sam with the cats. She cares single-handedly for all of the animals when Carmen and Sam have to be away. The rest of the time she takes care of our four studs who need to be housed on the property separately from the rest of the cats due to spraying and risk of unplanned breeding. She loves "her boys" and can often been seen cleaning in their rooms and chatting to them when she thinks no one is listening. We couldn't possibly manage without her daily help.

* CAT SHOW FUN!! * Our whole family enjoys travelling to and attending cat shows. My daughter Mattie and I had an excellent weekend at the Cat Fanciers of BC show in White Rock (September 9 & 10th) with brothers Jewelspride Uno and Jewelspride Solo! This was Mattie's first time showing her own cat and it was her kitten Uno's very first time in a showhall OR a cage for that matter. He did exceptionally well especially for being blind and not understanding what all the commotion going on around him was! Solo was his usual suave self and managed to pull off a handful of finals as well. Looking forward to the next show in Edmonton later this month! If you are interested in showing your kittens or cats, have a look at the TICA Show Calendar online and sign up for a show near you! I'm available to answer your questions regarding showing and show training your kitten - just ask! Here's the CALENDAR.
